The original inspiration stemmed from an unexplained stranding in the Bahamas in March 2000. Some commercial companies that benefit from oil extraction are sceptical about this tragedy. The oil extraction generates significant ocean noise beneath the sea surface, which harms the ocean's delicate acoustic habitat and even kills numerous marine animals.

Amidst the ocean sounds shared by animals and humans, we discovered that humans disrupt echolocation, the method by which marine creatures perceive their environment. Whales can listen to echoes and obtain essential information about their surroundings. This is how they understand the world. In the experiment, we attempted to replicate the sensory experience of whales through an interactive visual aid, allowing the audience to gradually perceive their environment as a whale would.

Based on Sensory Experience, Sonic Journey focuses more on ocean noise. According to the research on different ocean noises, I simulat a sonic journey to show various kinds of undersea noises.
